Regional projects

On a regional level the partnership between Glasgow Caledonian University and the Institute has had spillover effects in all three counties of Vestfold, Telemark and Buskerud.

The tradition in Great Britain of establishing partnerships between the public and private sectors, including R&D, represents an alternative way of developing and marketing cultural monuments as tourist destinations. The national cultural monument and tourism policy in Norway has been and still is in a process of change.

In this context, the contribution from an international development partnership has been met with both curiosity and positive feedback.
